How to Take This Course

You can do this course in a few ways. While it was written in a linear fashion, some of the exercises can be bundled together depending on your time management.

Linear might be pushing it actually. Its hard to do anything in a linear fashion in regards to the natural world because plants and the earth just don’t work that way. Instead, the Green world works more in cycles or spirals instead of a straight line. As you walk this path you will see this in the progression of seasons, in the lifecycle of plants from compost and seed to growth to harvest to death as compost again. With this in mind, I understand that we all learn in different ways and your approach to this subject will likely fluctuate with your going through, coming back, skipping ahead, and more. I do recommend you do the first part of the course first - from Sensing Energy through Protection - before moving on to the second chunk of lessons. These lessons (energy work, cleansing, grounding, protecting, and the holistic nature of Green Witchcraft) are foundational and you will need them before embarking further on your green witch journey.

One way you can do this is to go to the various meditations and download the MP3s that I’ve made for you. You can work your way through learning how to visualize and sense energy, holistic relaxation, grounding, and shielding that way.

Another way you can bulk your exercises is to do the herbal recipes with the plant ally you meet and build a relationship with.

For example, if your plant ally is dandelion and you have a large patch of the plant to work with, you can create each of the herbal remedies listed in this course through the section on protection using just this herb - infusion, root decoction, flower essence, homeopath, and tincture all with this one herb. This might be easiest if you only get the chance to harvest the plant at certain times. Go ahead and get started with these remedy recipes then go back to the lessons and use them as each is finished in relation to the lessons learned.

There are no quizzes or exams for this course. We do have an online community available for help and accountability and the fun of sharing this journey with like minds. In the end, however, the person responsible for learning anything is you.
